Each visit to Katori will be different from the previous, as we regularly evolve our menu around the freshest and seasonal ingredients.

Katori provides Premium Japanese BBQ and restaurant dining experience. Our master chefs create each type of Japanese traditional cuisine with a modern twist, giving our customers a memorable Japanese dining experience. 

At Katori, we are proud of our Premium Yakiniku, (焼き肉 or 焼肉), meaning "grilled meat". Yakiniku or Japanese BBQ is cooking bite-size meat on gridirons over charcoal flames, making it one of the most popular cuisines in Japan. 

Katori is distinguished by its modern interpretation of the classic Japanese BBQ. Our Japanese BBQ uses a range of carefully selected top grades of wagyu, delivering the highest quality beef to your table and grilling on a built-in charcoal barbeque station. 

We also provide high-quality Japanese meals including sushi, sashimi, and shabu shabu, as well as delectable sweets.

You may sample the delicious variety of seafood which are locally sourced and freshness-tested. Chefs have carefully selected them to create each seasonal dish on the menu.

Katori hopes to welcome you, your family and friends with an inspiring dining experience. We offer function bookings for groups, suitable for birthday parties, anniversary and other celebrations. Private dining room will also be available upon your request.

MENU HIGHLIGHTS:

We offer wagyu with marble scores from 7 to 12 sourced from Australian local farms; for a premium experience we offer imported A5 grade wagyu which are directly sourced from Japan. Our Yakiniku platters are made with the greatest cuts of Wagyu beef; they are a delight choice for all food enthusiasts.

Launching it first in Melbourne - renowned as Takamori Drunken Wagyu, which derives its name from the phrase "the cattle are constantly delightfully inebriated" - One of the rarest Japanese Wagyu, the cattle is fed using fermented rice from Dassai Sake Brewery, giving a unique taste of Wagyu beef – Now available at Katori.

All of the seafood is acquired locally and inspected for freshness, allowing you to experience the delectable assortment of seafood. All menu items are seasonal and hand-picked by our dedicated chefs.

Katori has an intriguing dessert selection with Japanese sweets, such as Wagashi to accompany green tea at the end of a meal to refresh the senses, or something creamy, such as a chocolate lava cake, to suit your taste.
